Fall Schedule 2008
General Information
Registration: The closing date for registration is September 5th 2008. Please call 860/974-2931 to register. All Classes will begin the week of September 15th.
Sessions: All classes run in six week sessions. The sessions run continuously from September until June.
Class Size: Class sizes are small, from 5 to 6 students and they fill up quickly. Please call early to register.
Payment: Payment is due on the first day of class. There is a 10 % discount for families that register two or more students.
Missed Class Policy: Please call as soon as possible if you need to miss a class. Students may make up one class at the end of each session. If a student needs to miss more than one class per session, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Class will be cancelled for snow and will not be counted as a missed class.

Classes
(6 week session)
Adult Studio Art
This is a Multi Media art class that can include drawing, watercolor, colored pencil, acrylics, oils and more! This class is run in an open studio fashion which allows students to work on their own projects in the medium of their choice while receiving individual assistance. This class is great for everyone - from absolute beginner to seasoned pro. A second class will be added on Thursdays from 9:30 - noon if Tuesday's class fills up. Some materials are required. Tuesdays 1:00pm-3:30pm $100.00
School Age Art
Join the fun in our school age art program. Building a good foundation in drawing, we will also explore various media, design, color and three dimensional projects. Snack provided.
Ages 8 and up

Workshops
Decorative Papers Workshop
Note: This workshop is offered in two parts. Students may choose to attend each individual workshop or both together. Both classes are fun for all ages and all materials are included. On the first Monday, we will create wonderful paste papers that can be used to wrap anything from gifts to lamp shades. This fun and easy workshop requires no previous art experience - just a willingness to experiment and get your hands dirty. In the second class, we will use our papers to make beautiful cards, collages, weavings, and other objects. The sky is the limit and creativity is encouraged!

Ukrainian Egg Workshop
Learn the ancient art of pysanka (Ukrainian Eggs). In this workshop, students will learn how to turn an ordinary egg into a treasured keepsake. We will practice the traditional wax-resistant method, including using lit candles to apply and remove the beeswax. Traditional patterns will be provided or students may create their own designs. Pysanky are typically made to be given to family members and respected outsiders and make great Christmas ornaments and gifts! All materials are included. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
